Demolition Delay Hold List, Now in Blog Format
by admin
Demolition Hold List: A place for info about architecturally significant buildings in danger of being demolished (or are already gone) is a new website that converts the City of Chicago Demolition Delay Hold List web page into a blog that (as I understand it) will be updated whenever the City list is updated:

Now you can get updates via RSS instead of having to remember to re-check the oftentimes buggy and slow City website for the status of ‘historically significant’ buildings threatened with demolition.
Each item on the Delay List has it’s own blog page, and you are encouraged to leave comments for the individual building entries. The site creator, Daniel X. O’Neal, wants it to be “an archive of those (threatened and demolished) buildings. The hope is that you can help build this archive by contributing photos, drawings, and memories.”
Good idea.
