Fall Photos
by admin
Autumn is a time to reflect on the past year–what has been accomplished, and what needs to be done. It is also a time for my seasonal allergies to wake me up at 2am with fits of sneezing and coughing, and since I can’t get back to sleep I have plenty of time to engage in the aforementioned reflecting. The other night I reflected on how I need to update this blog. Thus, I offer a small selection of photos that I’ve shot since my last post:

Riis Elementary, scraped bare and ready for demolition.

Glue Factory. Actually they mostly made paint, but they also made adhesives
and I like the way “Glue Factory” sounds, so that’s what I’m calling it.

Nice offices.

Riis again, at night, during demolition.

Washburne Trade School

Demolition has begun on the west wing of this amazing building.
How long before they start on the main building, I wonder…

Hospitals are fun.

The very large, very trashed and very abandoned Brach’s candy factory.
The high roof has eluded me for some time, but the wait was worth it.

Riis Elementary, or what’s left of it, as of November 12, 2007.
I didn’t photograph any fall foliage this year, just fallen buildings.
“Riis again, at night, during demolition.”
What a beautiful photo!
